Dark Spot Treatment

Dark spot treatment at Gambhir M.D. on Central Park South, Manhattan uses VI Peel, BBL, Moxi, HALO, and microneedling for brown spots, sun spots, and uneven pigment.

Brown spots, sun spots, and uneven patches build up over years of sun exposure and time. They can make skin look older and more tired than it feels. At our Manhattan practice, the goal is to fade those spots and bring your skin back to an even, clear tone.

Services

VI Peel

This medical-grade peel clears away pigmented surface skin and helps even the tone in one peel or even more over a series of peels.

Lasers – Moxi, BBL, HALO Tribrid

Laser treatments target uneven pigment and sun damage. Moxi gently lifts away surface pigment as the skin renews. BBL (BroadBand Light) is a photofacial that specifically addresses brown spots and early sun damage. HALO Tribrid combines gentle resurfacing with deeper collagen support for uneven tone. Each has a role in restoring a clearer, more even complexion.

Microneedling – SKIN PEN

By renewing the skin and improving how it absorbs topical skin care, Microneedling – SKIN PEN supports a clearer, more even tone over a series.

Alastin A-Luminate Brightening Serum

Alastin’s targeted serum for uneven tone and pigment. Used consistently, it helps fade dark spots over time.

Alastin HydraTint Pro Mineral Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 36

This is the most important product. New sun damage will undo your progress, and a tinted mineral sunscreen protects without irritating treated skin.

Alastin C-RADICAL Defense Antioxidant Serum

A vitamin C serum that adds antioxidant protection and supports a more even tone.

Alastin Renewal Retinol

Encourages skin renewal, which helps surface pigment fade more quickly. Used at night, starting carefully.

The right habits at home protect your results and help prevent new spots from forming. A few simple things, kept up over time, do more than any single treatment.

Minimizing sun and heat exposure

Sun and heat are the two biggest drivers of dark spots. Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every morning, even on cloudy days, and reapply when you are out. A tinted mineral sunscreen also blocks the visible-light triggers that worsen pigmentation. Heat matters too. Avoid prolonged time in saunas, hot yoga, or near hot stoves, which can trigger new pigment.

Be gentle with your skin

Irritation can leave dark marks behind, especially in deeper skin tones. Use a gentle cleanser, skip harsh scrubs, and do not pick or pop blemishes. Inflammation is one of the most common causes of new pigment.
