Brow Balancing

Non-surgical brow balancing at Gambhir M.D. on Central Park South, Manhattan uses Botox, dermal filler, and collagen-rebuilding treatments to gently lift and even the brow.

As we age, the brow can slowly drift downward and lose its support. Small muscles quietly pull it down, and the pad of tissue behind the outer brow gradually thins with age. A heavy or uneven brow can make the whole face look tired, even when you feel fine. At our Manhattan practice, small adjustments to either muscle or support usually lift the eye area in a very natural way.

Services

Botox

Certain muscles quietly pull the brow down. The main muscles involved are the corrugator supercilii, the depressor supercilii, procerus and the superior portion of the orbicularis oculi. By relaxing those muscles, Botox lets the brow settle into a slightly higher, more open position, a subtle, natural lift.

Dermal filler

Lost volume at the temple and above the brow removes the support that holds it up. A small amount of filler can restore that support and lift the brow from beneath. Too much can lead to excess fullness, it’s a precise balance.

Collagen Rebuilding

Collagen rebuilding tools such as Microneedling – SKIN PEN and Thermage can help to keep collagen levels elevated and in turn elevating the brows.
