Moxi

Physician-led Moxi laser treatment at Gambhir M.D. A gentle laser refresh: brighter, clearer, more even skin, with little downtime.

“Not every laser has to be dramatic to be worthwhile. Moxi is a gentle laser. It refreshes the skin’s tone and texture with very little downtime. It is one of the best tools we have for early sun damage, dullness, and steady maintenance: a way to care for your skin over the years, rather than waiting for problems to set in.”

About Moxi

Moxi is a gentle, fractional non-ablative laser (a 1927 nm thulium fiber laser made by Sciton) that refreshes the skin without removing the top layer. It sends gentle energy into the skin in tiny, spaced columns, clearing away old sun-damaged pigment and prompting fresh collagen. The result is brighter, smoother, more even skin, with little downtime. Moxi is a good fit for early sun damage, dullness, uneven tone, and simply keeping your skin healthy over the years. Even a gentle laser rewards a careful plan, and at our practice we tailor Moxi to your skin, your goals, and your schedule.

Even a gentle laser rewards a careful, experienced hand: the right settings, matched to your skin. Your treatment is guided by physicians who have cared for skin since 2005. We will tell you honestly whether Moxi is the right tool for your goals, or whether something else would serve you better.

Most people are comfortable. We use a numbing cream first, and the treatment feels warm and slightly prickly.

Little. Expect redness like a mild sunburn for a day or two, then a faint sandpaper texture with tiny bronze specks that flake away over about three to five days.

Many people notice a glow after one treatment. Fuller, more even results build over a series and over the following weeks as the skin renews.

Often a short series of three or four, spaced a few weeks apart, then once or twice a year for maintenance.

Moxi is gentle and non-ablative, so it can be used across a wide range of skin tones. We still tailor the settings carefully to your skin.

Moxi is a gentle, skin-refreshing laser, not a deep-resurfacing one. For deep wrinkles, another treatment may be better, and we will tell you honestly.

Usually the day after your treatment.

As with any laser, sun matters. We will ask you to avoid heavy sun before your treatment and to protect your skin afterward with shade and a broad-spectrum sunscreen. Protecting your skin from the sun is also the best way to make your results last.

Redness, mild swelling, warmth, and the brief sandpaper texture are a normal, expected part of the treatment. More significant effects, such as pigment changes or infection, are uncommon, and careful settings and good aftercare keep that risk low.

Yes. Moxi is a popular choice for caring for skin early, keeping tone even and addressing sun damage before it deepens.

It is generally avoided during pregnancy, over an active skin infection, or soon after certain acne medications. We review your history at your consultation.
