After any treatment, the care you take in the next few hours and days matters. Following these instructions helps your skin heal well, lowers the chance of side effects, and protects the result you came in for.

Botox Post-Care

These steps help your Botox settle evenly and give you the best result. If anything concerns you, call us. We would always rather hear from you.

After Your Treatment

  • Do not lie down flat or do any vigorous exercise for 2 hours. Walking is fine.
  • Do not massage the treated area for 2 hours.
  • Routine skin care can be resumed in 2 hours.
  • Final results can take up to 14 days to appear.
  • Plan to repeat treatment in 3–4 months.

Facial Exercises

Within 10 minutes of your treatment complete your recommended facial exercises.

  • Forehead, 50 brow raises
  • Crow’s feet, 50 “smiley faces”
  • Between the brows, 50 “angry faces”
  • Neck bands, 50 neck tenses
  • Upper and/or lower lip, 50 lip purses
  • Chin, 50 chin clenches
  • Masseter (jaw), 50 jaw clenches

Concealing Bruising

  • To speed healing, apply a thin layer of Arnica gel three times daily, underneath lotions or makeup.
  • To conceal bruising: on purple areas, brush on a small amount of a yellow-based color corrector; on yellow, green, or blue areas, use a pink-based color corrector.
