“Good aftercare protects your results, and your safety.”

After any treatment, the care you take in the next few hours and days matters. Following these instructions helps your skin heal well, lowers the chance of side effects, and protects the result you came in for.

After Your Treatment

  • Keep sun exposure to a minimum for one week after treatment.
  • No makeup for at least 24 hours after treatment.
  • Keep treated skin well hydrated with a moisturizer without any exfoliants.
  • Wash the treated area with a gentle cleanser as per routine.
  • Starting 24 hours after treatment, you may use your regular skin care, but avoid exfoliating for 7 days.
  • The treated area may appear dry, flaky and mildly irritated for 2-7 days.
  • For pain, use only Tylenol for the next 48 hours.
  • Use ice as needed for pain and swelling. Place a cotton cloth between the ice and your skin.
  • Do not have any other skin procedures for 14 days after the treatment.
  • If you were instructed to use a skin brightening or pigment correcting cream after your treatment, you may start using it right away.
  • Call the office immediately with any concerns

Concealing Bruising or Redness

  • To conceal bruising: On purple areas, brush on a small amount of a yellow-based color corrector. On yellow, green, or blue areas, use a pink-based color corrector.
  • To conceal redness: After moisturizing, apply a green skin primer, then concealer and foundation on top.
